Subject: IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED.

!!!!!!!CITIZEN ACTION REQUIRED!!!!!!!!

AMERICANS...WE CAN NO LONGER ALLOW THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO INVESTIGATE ITSELF. JANET RENO'S DEMANDS TO FORCE THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO SURRENDER ALL WACO EVIDENCE TO THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT MUST NOT TAKE PLACE!!!!

We must demand, now, the only sensible Constitutional alternatives.

A. Citizens must DEMAND that an independent citizens' investigation and
a State -- NOT FEDERAL -- grand jury review of findings.

B. We, Citizens, DEMAND that the citizens' investigation to be completed by non-governmental personnel.

C. Citizens MUST show their complete support for the Texas Department
of Public Safety...and the Texas Rangers.

Let's start putting the pressure on. Enough pressure must be placed on the appropriate bureaus that Janet Reno and the FBI DO NOT SEIZE WACO EVIDENCE.

RENO SEES NO EVIDENCE FBI CAUSED BRANCH DAVIDIAN FIRE. DPS OFFICIAL SAYS REPORTS, COMPOUND DEBRIS MAY BE AT ODDS.

By David Jackson and Lee Hancock, Staff Writers of the Dallas Morning News

Attorney General Janet Reno said Thursday that there is no evidence that
FBI ordnance helped start the 1993 fire that consumed the Branch Davidian
compound near Waco.

"I have gone over everything, and I know of no such evidence," Ms. Reno
said at her weekly news conference in Washington.

Meanwhile, officials in Texas said the Texas Rangers are reviewing
evidence now in a dispute regarding the tank-and-tear-gas assault of
April 19, 1993.

James B. Francis, Jr., chairman of the Texas Department of Public Safety,
said he would not comment on Ms. Reno's statements. He also would not
withdraw comments he made earlier this week.

On Tuesday, Mr. Francis told 'THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS': "There's some
evidence that is at least problematic or at least questionable with
regard to what happened. With the proper experts analyzing it, it might
shed light as to whether an incendiary device was fired into the compound
that day."

The Department of Public Safety has asked a federal judge to take
POSSESSION OF ALL EVIDENCE ARISING FROM THE CRIMINAL PROSECUTION OF THE BRANCH DAVIDIAN SIEGE. The state agency has been custodian of the evidence since it was asked in 1993 to investigate the Branch Davidian
siege and its fiery ending, in which more than 70 people died.

Last week, the Justice Department told U.S. District Judge Walter Smith
that it was negotiating with DPS officials on the disposition of the
evidence and needed more time to respond to the DPS motion asking the
court to take custody of it.

Mr. Francis, however, said the DPS is not negotiating with federal
authorities and does not intend to allow anyone access to the evidence
until instructed by Judge Smith. He said that includes the FBI, which
sought to examine the material after the DPS made its motion.

Yeah, I beat Reno and the FBI would like to get their grubby mitts on all that evidence.
I'd have to say that I agree that a non-governmental, especially federal, group
needs to look at the evidence. I hope that the Texas DPS stick to their guns about not letting the feds get a hold of it. I don't know if they're guilty or not, but feel that they cannot/should not be allowed to investigate themselves. Hell, thought of that is just plain silly, but typical of the feds wanting to CYA!!!

what me worry?

These children were certainly "martyrs for the cause". Unfortunately, because their parents' did not chase the American Dream, and their deaths did nothing to promote the disarming of America, their lives have been counted as less important than those killed by civilian madmen.

Personally, I don't care who lit the fire (though I'd like to know). The tragedy could easily have been averted by Reno. Their blood is on the hands of the current Administration.

I'd really like to see TFL Members get behind this movement.

Thanks for the good info.

If we continue to let the gummint investigate itself, the name of the game will be "cover up" a la Kennedy, King, Cartergate, Chinagate, Koreagate, etc., etc.
