Should I spend my "glock 36" money on something else.

I've got this money burning a hole in my pocket, there's a gun show this weekend, and I am starting to wonder if I will ever see this gun. Is there any new info on the 36 or should I forget it?

Still vaporware, as far as I can tell. Get something else. I want one, too, but after Glock's well-publicized problems in getting them to work, I'm going to wait for a while after they're on the market before I trust one. By that time, you will have several thousand rounds through your "something else" and will have saved enough to buy another gun.

Sod,

If I was you I'd go to that gunshow and buy a Glock carbine :D - you can take a look at it at Glock's web site! :D

seriously, I have not heard anything new on the g36. Checked Glocktalk.com for news? I think I saw someone post the other day that his dealer was expecting delivery of 2 36's in about 3 weeks....

Too bad J.M.B isn't still around, he could make a little extra cash as a consultant.

"Hmmm .45 single stack?, Here's your problem"

Start saving now for the 36, and you can buy something today with what you have. Maybe by the time you've saved up for the 36 they'll be out and you'll know if they're worth getting. My bet: when Glock releases them, they'll be right. If they wanted to cut corners they could've had the gun out by now. Nevertheless, I agree that I wouldn't buy a 36 as soon as they hit the street.

Go ahead and buy something else, by the time the G36 comes out you will have resaved enough money to buy it!! :)

For now, the 36 is still imaginary. The guy at GT who thought he had one on the way was given bad info. It turned out to be a 30. I've been told that there are tons of 36's just sitting in a warehouse waiting for the new follower design to be perfected so they can swap the mags and begin shipping them. It seems like it's been an awfully long time for just a follower. In any case, forget about it for now. Take your money and get a Sig P-245. It's everything the 36 is supposed to be, and more. Like David said, by the time you've put a case or two of ammo through it, you'll have had time to save up for another gun - and even then the 36 may not be available. Whatever you decide, good luck to ya.

THAT DEPENDS ON HOW OLD YOU ARE :)I'd buy something else, use it, enjoy it, and then maybe trade it for a 36 if I still wanted one when they are available.TOO LITTLE TIME--TOO MANY GUNS. :D

Get the G30 instead. It has proven to be a very accurate Glock, and G21 mags may be used in it. What is the logic of a small capacity single stack anyway? The G30 is 10+1 at only .12" fatter..

Greetings, I would go ahead and spend that
hard earned cash on something else; that
some major firearms manufacturer can get to
market. A Sig would be extremely nice; but
there are other choice's: H&K's, Ruger's,
Kahr's, Smith & Wesson's, Kimber's, Springfield's, and don't laugh; how
about a Norinco for about $325.00? It's
which one offer's the biggest bang; for
less buck's? :D

Actually, I shot a G36 last Thursday at the Glock offices in Smyrna. Great gun. Still a prototype, though. My impression is that the local Glock folks aren't sure themselves when the gun will be available, but guesses were 30-60 days.

Glocks and Rugers are about the same IMHO.
Who needs a piece of Tupperware or a plumbing
fitting when what they want is a gun.
Almost anything else would be better.Yeah I
know---I can hear the crying already.
