Should I clean it?

My shotgun has been in storage for about 8 months. Im planning on going shooting next weekend and am wondering if i should clean and/or lube it before i go? I have never gone this long without shooting it and the last time it was cleaned was 8 months ago. I took it down and looked at it and it still has oil as far as i can see, but i am pretty new to the gun world. Any help is appreciated.

If you did a good job of cleaning it prior to its storage, you'll be okay. I wouldn't worry about cleaning it again unless you see rust or excessive dirt, which you probably don't. The only thing that I would urge you to do is to take a dry patch or mop and wipe out the excess oil in the barrel before you shoot it, other than that you should be fine.

Do what dlefdal said clean the barrel and wipe it down with a thin coat of oil and you will be fine.
