I have been interested in one of these guns for years. They are made in the same factory but by a different firm.Is the quality still as good? Will shooting large amounts of 44 mags do damage to the cylinder.I will make custom 445s but I will mostly shoot 44s.I shot an older model with 445s and the recoil was half that of a Super Redhawk in 454 casull.

Goat...you'll become a major Ram if you are fortunate to buy that big Dan Wesson. They make an extremely good and well fitted and finished product. The new management is real U.S. gun folks. Not Swiz & Wezzle foreign owned blokes.

Yes, if you must. Personally, I don't understand the fascination with these large revolvers, but if it is well-made and will hold its value for years to come, then you can't lose.

I shoot IHMSA silhouette. at one time dan wessions were the relover to use. the people I talk to say the new dan wessons are made a lot better then the old ones were.

I have DW 44mag, and this is superb revolver.
I can highly recommend any DW product.
Great guns!

By the way you will be really surprised when you will see how short the trigger pool is in DA!
