Shotgun Stock/Grip Brands

I am looking for a full stock with the pistol grip for my Mossberg 590A1. I don't want something cheap-ass or too expensive. No Speedfeed. That's just one more thing to break/clean/etc. If anyone knows any good brands, please share. Thanks!

Brownell's several several stocks.

Choate makes several good models, at very good prices.

Speedfeed makes stocks WITHOUT the internal spare ammo storage, and they are now factory issue on all Remington Police guns.

+1 on the solid Speedfeed. Fit and finish are MUCH better than Choate in my opinion. Arizona Gun Runners seem to have decent prices...

Does anyone have any experience with the Knoxx line of recoil-reducing stocks, such as the breacher pistol grip, or the specops stock? To me, the internal devices just seem like one more thing that could possibly break and need to be fixed.

I, too, am waiting for some experience on the Knoxx SpecOps stock. It apparently isn't on the market yet (although there's been plenty of hype). If it lives up to its billing I'll probably have to have one.

Anyone actually seen one in the flesh?

I have one (Compstock) on my Mossberg 500. It's OK, but it's compressing is kind of disconcerting. I had to root out around the sling swivel to keep it from hanging up. It has been durable.

For my money, I prefer a plain old Hogue overmold and a corncob forend like I have on my Winchester 1200.
