Shotgun ID and value???

I coulda sworn i already posted this, but i can't find my own thread! (Senility...)
Anyway.
I am looking for any info on the identification and possible value of a 12ga Double SxS described as follows:
(loosely paraphrased) '12ga, hammerless, barrels cut to 18.5", Choke tube in rght
barrel. Action tight, stock in good shape could use a refinnish. Markings:
RANGER in script on left side of frame. Proof Tested 12 guage on top of left
barrel, Pat. APR 20-1915 on left side of frame. No other markings. '

I can't find anything on the web. Everytime I try "ranger" with "shotgun" well... you know which ones pop up.

I am considering buying this one, so any ideas as to what to offer the fellow would also be very helpful!
