QUICK QUESTION: Shotgun Flashlight Mounting

Hello.

I will be using a simple clamp like this to attach the light to the barrel. Is there any danger when the light extends past the front of the barrel ?

Get the Surefire forend. Its a pricey but proven setup. Recoil does a number on your average flashlight.

You can use a regular flashlight in that clamp. I'd use an LED light though, the recoil could break a bulb. I think the Surefire is a bit over priced. Just don't buy a $2 flashilight and expect it to stand up. Get that one Surefire model that is $30, I think it's the G2. Or even a mini-mag light, but then you will need an adaptor for your 1" clamp to get it down to 3/4". check out www.shotgunworld.com and scroll down to the tactical section.
