Finally got to the range today and shot the ROA I just bought off "Gunbroker"
Put the Rubber grips on for slippage. With the rear sight screwed all the way down, and a center hold it shoots OK at 25 yds. I champered the mouths of
the chambers as to not shave a ring of lead. More bearing surface this way.
Put the trigger over travel set screw in and a trigger shoe and tuned the action.10 shots at 25 yds. one hand un-supported. Load 20 grs Goex FFF
"Cream-of-Wheat" filler .457 round ball, CCI no. 11 standard caps.

When you chamfer the mouth of the cylinder, could it cause you problems when the bullet goes from the cylinder into the barrel?

im gonna guess you have some metal working equipment.
though i have not modified my ROA, it presents itself as well.

some guns ruger got right!!

No I don't have any metel working stuff. I used to work in a tool&die shop
many years ago so have some experence. I just drilled & tapped the hole in
the back of the trigger guard for a 10-32 set screw. The trigger shoe is held
in place with two small allen set screws. The champering was done with a
45 degree champering tool by hand. It's just a small champer, just enough
to keep from shaving lead. The ball is almost flush with the end of the cyclinder after loading due to the "Cream-of-Wheat" filler so it doesen't have
to jump too far to engage the forcing cone & rifiling.
