Shot My New Charles Daly DDA 10 45 today...at first I had a bunch of failure to feeds...after taking out the slide spring and adding some more tension to it...all the rounds fed...the DDA's accuracy was exceptional right out of the box...which is a good thing considering it is impossible to move the sight...there is a screw that goes through the back sight right into the frame with no room to move it...for the money ($299.00 at SOG) it is well worth it...had it been similar to the 1911 style Charles Daly's I don't think I would have taken the risk...but this .45 is made by BUL of Israel...they have (from what I read) a good reputation of making quality firearms...and while this (DDA 10 45) would fall on the lower end of the type of .45's they make...it is solid...and FYI...this is the full size non pink model;)

I played with one just like yours...but this was the stainless/black
short barrelled ...nice. I like the CZ style action and controls. I am very certain..looking at the poly witness's and your gun. Looks like the same thing...very similar. Shoot well
 
Eric, I was with Tony yesterday shooting his new polymer daly. The gun handled very well and the sights seemed to be right on the money which is good because there is no way you can adjust the sights if they are off. The slide would lock open with rounds in the mag and we traced that to not enough tension on the slide stop spring. The recoil was making the the slide stop bounce up and lock the slide prematurely. We removed the spring and put more tension on it and it seems to have fixed the problem. I must say the daly has a very good trigger. My cz75b has a little creep in the trigger, the daly doesn't. The daly also doesn't like my 200swc reloads, but from what I hear the cz97's and the witness .45's don't like them either. It seems like nice .45 for the money. Congrats on your purchase. Tell me, how does your pistol group at 5 yards? Is it on center?

still having problems with mine but I think it is just the sight. FYI, I HAVE the pink model and I love it. Mine is also the compact version instead.

BTW, what is SOG?

It shoots dead on at 5 yards...and I didn't mean a slight to you on having the pink model...it seems thats the ONLY one anyone has seen up to this point...any of the articles i've read always seem to reference the fuscia color...I thought maybe someone would want to know it's available in other flavors...I was thiiiiisss close to getting the pink model...it was the only one available in the compact size that I saw...and putting some hogue wraparounds on it would have made it look pretty cool! the one I got is black frame/hard chrome slide...the chrome gets really dirty during a range session...I am very pleased with the purchase up to this point...let us know how you fare with getting a replacement sight,
