Shot My First Glock Yesterday!

I have been a loyal SIG follower for some time. I just started reloading and didn't want to experiment with my SIGs, so I went out and bought a used Glock 17. Yesterday I shot it with both reloads and factory ammo. I was impressed. Accurate, controllable and a great, though different trigger. I still love my SIGs and plan on keeping and using them, but I can understand why Glocks are so highly regarded.

There is something addicting about the Glock simplicity. My Glocks come and go. Currently have a G17 in the safe. Usually, it is the first to go if I'm trying to raise money for something else, but I always end up buying another down the road. What's nice is the stability of the used Glock market...can usually find something really nice for $350.:)

I enjoy their simplicity, consistent trigger pull, reliability, accuracy, and cost. If you attend a GSSF event, you will meet some of the nicest, most helpful shooters around. Welcome to the Glock family.

Yes, Glocks are very addictive :) I had 1911's in the past and had many problems with them... Traded the last new IAI M6000 after it fell apart at the last IPSC match only after 110 rounds also the hammer followed the slide many times after being shot.. this is not good and a serious safety infraction.

Had the Beretta 92 FS Enox and yes it was a very fine shooter BUT, after buying my G35 I realized that I loved Glocks more. So yesterday I traded out the Beretta 92 FS for a G22. It only made more sence to carry something that was lighter than the Beretta for conceal carry. Also the mags interchange between both models.

Shooting both IPSC and IDPA, I now will look to get something started here in the NW part of Montana for the GSSF.

I use an Uncle Mikes Kidex paddle holster and it keeps the Glocks secure and safe. Easy to draw from as well. No thumb snaps to worry about just locks in place :)

Glocks. Seems shooters either love them or hate them.

Personally, I love mine. I have a G17 and G19. I want a G34 and G26.

Glocks are just great handguns. Light. Hi-cap. Combat accurate. Totally reliable and robust. They are so so simple to maintain. And I really like the standard trigger.

I hate cleaning guns like I hate mowing the lawn or washing the car. With a Glock you can break it down and clean it in less than 10 minutes.

I shot my 1st glock a few weeks ago, and I am very impressed with it, It was the Glock 17.. Very Smooth gun.. I might have to get one someday..

I am mad at Glock because when i got my NEW G30 it was broken. I liked Glocks in the past and have loved everyone that i have been able to shoot. I am not really mad about my gun being broken but that i am having a hard time getting it fixed. I want them to send me a new gun but i do not think that will happen. I dont know if this is glocks fault or if my local gun shop has dropped the ball but i am still pissed about it.

I got a sig p245 and love that one so much. I want to get a compact h&k USP. I am a big guy with big hands and that compact fits great.

Glocks, you just gotta love em. Be warned though, in the dark they seem to multiply faster than other makes.:D

I love my *&* revolvers, and SIGs will always be my first love in autoloaders, but it's hard to find a better toting piece than a Glock. They are simple, stone-axe reliable, robust, and accurate. If you don't want to worry about rust or scratching your gun, and if you want it to work 100% of the time with any factory ammo out of the box, the gun to carry is the Glock. Just pick your favorite caliber and frame size.

Wait until you try the Glock 21, 26 and Glock 30. I personally find these three models to both be a lot more accurate than the Glock 17. ;) All Glock models are all good of course.
