shorter fal butstock

The only thing keeping the fal from being a really great rifle in my opinion is the 14" lop, which is way too long for shooting with a heavy winter coat. does anyone know where a shorter, say 13" lop butstock can be found for a fal?

You'll need to get one of the Israeli wood butt stocks and cut it down a little. The recoil system is a bear to work around, but it can be done. If you spend the money for a para assembly (just the carrier/recoil system and topcover) you can eliminate the tube in the stock, and go as short as you want.

You could also search for a standard STG-58 wood buttstock that has a metal buttplate instead of the rubber recoil pad. That should take about an inch off the LOP.
