The wraparound style safety glasses are a MUST for cap & ball shooting. I emphasize WRAPAROUND style. Even a cap or hat and no open front shirts are a good idea. I shoot an 1860. Hot sparks go everywhere.

^ Theres also a reason why they're called "percussion" caps!

Those little guys are noisy! I find the crack of just the percussion cap very sharp and unpleasant without ear protection. That's with no powder or ball, just a cap!

I'm suspicious that he used a 1075 RWS cap. I have noticed that they send a lot more sparks in all directions when fired compared to the Remington #10s.
