Short/Weak

I have an H&R 32 S&W Long revolver. It's the only handgun I own. It was cheap, I could afford it, and my accuracy at 25ft is dead on. I keep it on the night stand. I know its wimpy, and very low powered. But I'm, comfortable knowing I can hit what I aim at in my own house. I know ammo type is limited( I've been to Midwayusa. ) Is any one type better for indoor defense ie, wadcutter, round nose, jacketed hollow? I know this round was at one point a police round. Does this lend merit to the deminutive 32 long? Oddly enough, the wadcutter has a slightly higher listed velicoty. Comments, please.

I cannot be positive as to your particular H&R. If it is a modern revolver and not an antique H&R, I suggest Magtech from Brazil ammunition. The PD load I prefer is their 6.35 (98 gr.) SJHP (32SWLC) They catalogue it as B60116 L-30 It runs 778 FPS, 132 FT LB muzzle energy and drops roughly 1.9 inches at 50 YD. It is safe for all modern revolvers. I use expensive Hornady for target shooting.

I second the MagTech load. It's inexpensive and quite accurate. My wife carries an NEF snubby in .32 Mag and we practice with this ammo. I usually buy it at sportsmansguide.com

If you can't find it, the SWC would be the next best choice. Maybe a cylinder of both incase penetration is too shallow with the HP.
