In this month's, G&A there is a paragraph about Remington's 7mm and 300 Short Ultra Mag. They are designed for the Model 7 rifles. The 300 Short Ultra Mag sounds identical to Winchester's 300 WSM. Sounded like velocities were the same also. Seems strange to come out with a new identical cartridge. One thing about it Remington's New Products area is full every year. Anyone know any more info about these new rounds?:confused: :confused:
 
From what I understand Remington started the R&D but Winchester more than likely found out and put theirs out first. From the tests I have seen the Remington is a better designed ctg.
