Shooting therapy for my broken ribs, and more

I broke my ribs on my left side last Tuesday, and it has been a ball ever since. One of the best things about shooting is the fact that it puts you in the moment … not tomorrow, and not yesterday … shooting is all about now! This is what I needed, a little shooting therapy!

After rising this morning, I came up with a fun idea; shooting nails that are sticking in a board … through the board by hitting the nail with a bullet! I was not sure I could do it, especially shooting through the aggravating pain, and limited movements. But, and there always is a but in life, it is always good to practice survival skills in the worst weather, and while injured and sick. I have done so for years, as bad things do not come at your convenience, they come when you are not ready.

I decided to use the Colt S.A.A. Twins, 2nd generation from the early 50’s, and my old Smith & Wesson model 14!

I didn’t shoot a lot, but I did shoot, and I filmed it all…

Heal well!...That shooting therapy always seems to help out.
I had back surgery earlier this year they removed the disc between L4 & L5 vertebrates and fused the two vertebrates,it sure felt good to get out with the handguns for a bit of "Shooting Therapy"

Good therapy. Hope your ribs heal soon.

About 2 years ago, I was recovering from back surgery and not allowed to shoot. Fortunately, I was still able to dry fire, so for a little variety, and for the challenge, I wanted to see if I could pull off a unique twist on the coin-on-barrel drill.

Being able to do something related to your passion is always good therapy.

I was home recuperating from back surgery for the past month. Spent some pleasant hours both reloading and shooting for "therapy" and I think it helped.

Some years back I shattered my ankle... got a metal plate and 8 screws holding it together now, needless to say I was out of commission for awhile...

What helped me pass the time, I had to give up running and gunning with handgun's and carbines for awhile... but I felt right at home with a precision rifle at the bench on all those sunny afternoons.:D

However all the guys at the range kept making fun of my purple cast.... (Long story dont ask:o)

IF you are going to post videos, basic firearm safety includes not putting fingers or anything inside the trigger guard when the firearm is not on target and you are ready to shoot. Basic firearm safety also includes proper muzzle control.
