Took my CZ70 to the range for the first time this evening.
Before I went I gave it a quick clean and lube. I didn't have time nor inclination to take the gun to pieces, so the lube I chose was the teflon in light-bodied evaporative carrier that I use on my bicycle chain.
Prior to lubrication, D/A trigger pull was absolutely horrendous, very heavy and gritty, grindy, and nasty as all hell.
After lubrication, it was a lot better. Somewhat lighter, but a lot smoother.
S/A pull was also a lot better.
Shot 50 rounds of Fiocchi .32 ACP.
The sights print about 2" high and about 2" to the right at 10 yards. Not too bad, considering that the sights are virtually unusable. Very narrow & tiny front sight, which fills the rear U-shaped notch almost completely.
Groups were, again due to the sights and the trigger pull, not tremendous, but I managed to keep all of them within the kill zone at 10 yards.
Reliability with the FMJ ammo was 100 -- no malfunctions of any kind.
I did find the magazines to be a bit difficult to load, not because of the strong springs, but because of the small rounds.
Recoil was very mild. Even with the oddly shaped grips, the recoil isn't difficult to deal with at all. It was easy to get quick follow-up shots, but accuracy suffered due to the lousy sights.
Rapid reloads are difficult for two reasons: The magazine release button is in an awkward position and partially blocked by the left grip panel; and the magazines have to be manually extracted, they are not drop free.
The gun is equipped with a safety on the left side of the upper grip. Up is fire, down (parallel with the barrel is safe). The lever also functions as a decocker. Pushing it down past the safety setting decocks the hammer to the at-rest setting.
Operation of the safety is kind of difficult, as the safety is also somewhat awkwardly positioned, and is also quite stiff.
Overall assessment of this $125 (or there abouts, I forget) gun?
It's pretty crude in finish, but with a little work, a little breaking in, and some smoothing, I think it might make a decent plinking/"social CCW-type gun for someone who wants a cheap .32.
