Shooting Magnums in an old Winchester 37

Guys,

I have an old Winchester Model 37 12 gauge single shot. It is in great condition.

I was wondering if it was ok/safe to shoot a 2 3/4" MAGNUM turkey load in it?

i shoot hot 2 3/4 reloads out of my model 12. it will toughen you up a bit just be sure to make sure there lead. although tungsten and bismuth are supposed to be lead substitute i still dont trust them.

A lot of the old single shot shotguns did not have real solid lock-up, so you could shoot them loose with magnums 2 3/4" loads. The Winchester has a pretty solid lockup, so it probably is not an issue.
