Shooting Lots of Hogs at Night with Infrared Scope

Most are left to rot... you can't safely butcher that many before spoilage with out a large crew of processors...

I think it said they are donated for butchering.

Of course, that might be the politically correct thing to say on the website....

There is only so much "donating" you can do. USDA regulations prevent most processors from handling them.

The guy who does this is named Jager on another forum I belong to. He is (or at least was) an Army master sargent that wanted to use the skills he gained shooting bad guys in Iraq. So, he bought some military grade thermal scopes (12 grand each) and mounted them on DPMS Panther 308's. He charges land owners for the hog control plus charges two hunters at a time to go with him. If I recall, he was about to retire when I first heard about him a year or so ago so he's probably retired from the Army by now.

He is retired, and just does the jager pro deal now, i priced one of them hunts and for a trophy hog its around 700 if i recal. I can take a mag light and do the same wont charge ya but the gas money to go, hahaha. Them are some pretty cool scopes though, if i win the lottery ill be gettin me one!!

That guy is a good shot.

He was an army master sargent (stationed at Ft. Benning which means he was probably a Ranger) with night-combat experience in Iraq. I wouldn't expect him to be anything less than an excellent shot.
