Shooting double barrel derringers

Thanks for the video Mike. I was unaware if the Herter's models. Who made them? Uberti made a .38 special model in the 60s - prior to GCA 68 IIRC.

I have an IAR Model 1866 Maverick in .38 Spl that was made in San Juan Capistrano, CA back in the late 60s or early 70s. From what I've read, IAR bought the tooling from Uberti so they could be made in the USA after GCA 68.

I have one of the Cobra models that you mention in the video clip, in .38 spl. Many of the reviews I have read are less than favorable to these little guns, but I have no issues with mine. It shoots fine, the trigger pull isn't as bad as some reviewers lead me to think, and it has become my regular companion when I am out and about. By the way, Love the videos and the magazine!:)

Ihave both a full sized .38 Cobra and an earlier .22lr Davis. The .22 is smaller bit no less fun!
I have found the .38 Special CAS load tone a much milder load and very controllable.
A friend even loaded some squibs in .38 that are like big CBCaps for the Cobra.
I shoot both frequently and love em!
