When I was in LE we did our own building searches, mostly we did them alone (we worked one man cars). I used a little mechanics inspection mirror I carried in my jacket pocket for peaking around corners.
Fast forward a few (more like 17 years). I'm retired, I don't do building searches but I still like to shoot and play with guns.
When I got my 642 pocket pistol, I got a CT laser sight. It showed promise, not as the main sight, but a useful tool.
I got to thinking about the Laser sight, wishing I had one when I was in LE. I got to playing with it, finding I could get behind a barricade, poke the revolver around the barricade, and using the inspection mirror I could see the red dot on the target.
I found out it was relatively easy to engage the target with reasonable accuracy without exposing any part of my body except the revolver and mirror.
It's fun, with a bit of practice you can get pretty good.
