Shooting a rain event....

Hi all. I am getting ready to attend an Appleseed event and the forecast looks dicey. How do you guys protect your firearms, especially long guns for your events in the rain? Could be all day sitting, standing and prone. Thanks.

Same as hunting in all weather. Wax and/or grease/oil. Clean thoroughly once home or back indoors.

One might opine, wet weather is the only reason to own synthetic stocked, stainless steel firearms... one might opine.

Just do a good job cleaning and lubing afterwards.
I once attended an outdoor pistol training school that was just about underwater from all the rain.
My holster was overflowing most of the first day.
No harm done really.
It's just water.
But do be careful not to get it muddy.

And not a single person has suggested using water pistols.
We should congratulate ourselves for the restraint shown. :)
Such class we are.
