Shooting 9x19 ammo from a Glock 27

i learned that you can do this by buying and installing a KKM brand barrel into a G27. it says that it is longer the the nose of the gun, so it does protrude some. my question is: Have any of you experienced "Glockers" out there ever tried this? i am interested in the accuracy, and reliability of this setup. it will be used just for the range, 9mm is cheaper , but when carrying (of course) i will use the .40SW barrel, which is the real reason for buying.

Do you mean the barrel extends out from the slide like a G19 barrel would?

I don't think that the G27 w/9mm bbl would function very well without (minimally) an extractor swap to change the headspace? I do know that to use a G26 upper w/G27 lower you need a new ejector... hmmm. Might be good for practicing malfunction clearing?
