shooter choise

Shooter's Choice is all that I use. I've found it very effective for removing lead and copper fouling.

Shooter's Choice comes in two flavors:

- Original "Shooter's Choice" which is a powder solvent/moderate copper remover -- not lead
- "Shooter's Choice Lead Remover" which is intended for a similar job on lead deposits -- not copper.

I don't find either all that much to write home about.

If you have a copper problem, get KG-12

If you have a lead problem, get either a Lewis Lead Remover and/or wrap some "Chore Boy" copper pot scrubber (not the steel core version) around a worn cleaning brush and go at it with some solvent of any kind. Both the Lewis and the Chore Boy physically scrape the lead out, and do it well

I gave up on all the liquids and solvents to remove lead. Messy and don't work that well. Get yourself some "Chore-Boy" all copper scrubby pads and wrap a little around a cleaning brush and run it through the bore. A few passes and a few minutes and the lead is gone. No smell, no mess, no lead.

Yeah but that won't remove all the copper dude, you will have to use a "copper-lead" solvent... Or you can just try Butchs Bore-Shine, I have found it's a better product right now than the "shooters" brand.;)
