Shoot an AK47....

Sounds like an arrest that needed to be made. Shooting a firearm into a wooded area without knowing what is there is an unsafe act. He lucked out that its only a misdemeanor.
 
Well, he actually got arrested because he fired the weapon in the direction of hunters. You can legally own an AK in New Yawk. Sounds like a dope who I wouldn't trust with a to BB gun.
 
A 44-year-old Town of Owego man has been charged with two misdemeanors following several weekend complaints that he fired an AK-47 firearm from his Town of Tioga residence into a wooded area in the direction of hunters.

Not to mention it will get you shot here in Florida. I can't imagine someone opening up with an AK at me and not responding.
 
I bought an AK47 in New York [with a PA drivers liscence] w/o any problems. I also fired it at a range on my neighbor's farm w/o any problem.
The problem with this guy is that he he told a 16 year old to shoot the ground in the direction of some hunters. What we have here is a case of pure recklessness.
