What's the latest on shipping handguns? I've got a GP-100 that's developing cylinder loosey goositis and needs some Ruger TLC. Giving UPS $25+ galls my you know what. Alternatives?

You can ship it via Federal Express overnight, 2 day or 3 day. Just make sure you insure it.

If you have a FFL holder ship, they can ship it via USPS.

Prior to leaving FL for Canada, I shipped my gun via Fed Ex. I used a Dockosil case with two external padlocks on it. It arrived home without a scratch.
 
Some FFL's will ship them for a small. A licensed FFL can ship USPS for real cheap.
