Sherwin-Williams Response To Inquiry

In response to the question on a now-closed thread on whether the Sherwin-Williams Paint Company is "anti-gun", I emailed the company to ask that very question. Here is the response I received today:

Mr. Don H,

Your email was forwarded to me for a response to your recent question
regarding customers who possess firearms on company property.

Sherwin-Williams does not have a corporate policy concerning CUSTOMERS
carrying concealed weapon in our stores. We do however have a policy that
prohibits our EMPLOYEES from possessing weapons in our stores.

If you happen to know the store that has a sign displayed that states
"Firearms Prohibited" please let me know and we can request that such sign
be removed.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to your question.

Ellen Stephens
Director HR Services
Paint Stores Group

Edit: I informed Ms. Stephens which store had the sign posted.

Did they take it down?
Well, since I just got her email today and responded with the location late this morning, it might be just a tad soon to be asking. I'd give it a couple of days to work down to the store.

That is an awesome thing to see. I might have to do the same thing to my corporate office, posing as a "disturbed customer."
