Sharp edges on Glock Conversion Barrel

Would there be any downside or danger to polishing down the sharp edges? I recently got a conversion barrel for my G22 an noticed minor wear scratches inside the slide.
 
after market barrels tend to have sharper corners than OEM because most of them are stainless. It won't hurt to de-burr it and scotch brite it. Polishing to a mirror finish could cause issues by sticking.
