My wife and I have been cooped up in the house for the last week or so, so today we decided to go out for a while. Naturally, we stopped by "Ali-Babba's House O Guns" for a visit.
She spotted someone with a dog, and took off to visit. I was left alone at the used gun counter, where I always seem to get in trouble. Then I saw one of those dreaded sights that I "hate" to see.
Uh-Oh. This could get ugly.
Inside the box was this. A 1948, 5 screw K-22 with a 6" barrel. No papers, other than the tissue paper the gun was wrapped in. The grips number to the gun as does the box. It's been fired, but is in excellent shape.
My wife walks up. "Is that a nice one?....It is...Well get it if you want it. I tell her, "It's too expensive." She replies "Seen one for less lately? (She's heard that from me before.) I haggle with the guy...I walk away...I come back...we haggle some more.
Man! I hate this. I've been on a 22 spree lately and this is just the final straw. I might have to sell a couple of more mundane guns to make up for it.
Might....
