SF now going after 1st Amendment

I suppose you are referring to the Good Night Good Luck thread.

I don't believe anybody there advocated firing Clooney, only withholding their own hard earned money from his movies
As much as you support OReiley's right to speak would you pay real money to hear it?

The SF population has voted to leave themselves defenseless against all enemies foreign and domestic.
They deserve what they get.

But when it happens they will be screaming louder than the NOLAites for federal assistance and military troops to save them

Sooner or later they will get one of thier lackies in office and then push to secede from the US and form their own little communist utpoia.

I say let 'em secede, without sapping the money from the state maybe california can right itself financially. Without Frisco California would be a red state for sure and then we might not have crazy decisions from the 9th circuit, we might stop the hemmoraging of gun control, and propositions that are designed to help the poeple would get passed. In all seriousness it is getting pretty dangerous when the government can be selective with our rights.

we let them

we as voting americans are allowing our government to usurp our rights 1 at a time, be it local or federal. we arent standing up for ourselves because they, the governments, have passed laws which prevent us from speaking our minds to them. how many of us actually have access to our elected offcials? i have tried to talk to mine. cant get in. i do not contribute enough to his campaign fund i guess. but if we stand up we get slapped down. i for one am getting tired of it. im not saying servile insurrection or over throw of the government, but lets stop electing the ones who are hindering not helping us and if they pass things we do not agree with let them know. why do we sit on our butts and let them get away with this.i send letters to my senators all the time when they pass laws i do not agree with. im probably on some FBI watch list now.but thats the one thing they cannot control is the power of the vote. it isnt much but it is a foot hold.

I agree. They have no power that we don't give them....yet. We all have to stand up for our rights as American citizens, especially in cases where we don't approve of the outcome of having those rights.
Support the freedom of speech for those who insult you.
Support the freedom of the press for the biased media.
Support freedom of religion for those who affront your beliefs.
And all the rest of 'em. Support our rights when it's unpopular to do so because that's how they erode them.

Well, at least they are consistent. Of course, as someone pointed out the government of SF has no official restriction on speech, but the culture there has put de facto restrictions on speech. The official government approval won't come until the people are nice and harmless.

yep

seems they want us all as peaceful as hindu cows, while we give up all of our guaranteed civil rights. nothing like taking the bill of rights and pissing on it.

Demosocialists in PRSF - useful idiots

Give Jim Kouri, author of the article in the link, a medal!! He has got it right about the useful idiots in the People's Republic of San Francisco (PRSF):
In the Bizarro world of the PRSF, if you're witnessing higher murder rates, the best thing to do is disarm law-abiding citizens. This makes sense to these numbnuts. Don't be surprised if in the future San Franciscanistas decide to pass a ballot initiative outlawing common sense. For instance, one of their heroes, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., globetrots in his private jet and rides around in his chauffeured limo while badgering people to cut down on fuel consumption. This make sense to the useful idiots in PRSF.
Just like in Canada and England, when violent crime skyrockets after the gun bans/confiscations, look for the Demosocialist scumbags in PRSF to try and cover up the facts of the matter.
