Several Colt .38 Detective Specials

Just posting several pictures here for those who may be interested:

One is a nickel Colt .38 Detective Special of about 1960 vintage and the other is a mid-1970s Colt .38 Detective Special.

I like DS' also, preferring them over S&W J-frames (I've owned several samples of both, over the past 45 years).

The best of the bunch IMO, was a mid-70's DS from the Colt Custom Shop (because of the special-order finish), done in electroless nickel - which made the gun lok like a matte stainless, well before a D-frame was made of stainless steel.

Yes, Indeed!

There is something that draws me to snub-nosed revolvers...your special order Colt does sound intriguing!
