setting zero on a red dot sight.

i shoot a model 14 smith with a bsa red dot sight on it.my problem is it is not shooting true.i lost the instructions on how to zero it.could one of you help me? thanks in advance.

You should have two points of adjustment on the unit. (Usually covered by a plastic cap that unscrews simply with your fingers.) Beneath these caps you'll find an adjustment screw.

The one on the side is for left-to-right adjustment. The one on top is for vertical.

thanks bunkster for the info. i can zero it from what you told me. i knew about the caps over the screws but i didnot know which to turn them.
