Is 750 too much for what this guy claims a brand new Service Six. I really want one but Im not sure that I want one that bad.

Would it at least be worth it? Or is it still too much?

It's worth whatever you're willing to pay for it. Keep in mind you can find almost new Service Sixes in the $300-400 range.

I've had one for a few years now. I think I paid about $160 for it, it was carried by a armored car guard and was shot very little but had some holster wear. I think Service six's are to be shot and I don't think I would ever pay that much for one.

I think $550-$600 for a NIB shorty would be more acceptable.

Although, the price has been steadily climbing on the Six Series, especially the short ones.

Chances are, there's a big difference between "New in box" and "almost new." That one will go to a collector, even though it probably isn't particularly rare.

I would say that is VERY high for a Ruger. You can get a S&W for less if you shop around.
