I just picked this one up at a gun show 2 weeks ago for $450. A 1987 in excellent condition.

Have one exactly like it. The factory skinny grips don't feel right of even look right to me. But ruger had a bunch if factory target grips new in wrapper for 10 bucks a few years ago. Totally change the look and feel of the gun. Great revolver

Homerboy-- Nice grips. They look like Sile grips. I actually like Sile grips better than the Ruger Target Grip. CDNN Sports has them for $10

Don't know anything about Sile grips, but the ones on mine are factory Ruger. Big improvement over the skinny factory grips

Great revolver. I had a Security-Six like it back in the day. When we split up my ex claimed it as hers. She always had good taste in guns.

Back in the day, we used to joke that when Ruger started making guns they bought one tree to use for grips. And they were still using it.

A Tylers T-grip made a world of difference.

Nice

I have a blued 1976 Liberty version with the same grips....and a Speed six stainless 2 3/4 ....and a six inch Security Six stainless also has the same grips....ah love em all!!!!

I never got the big factory target stocks. They weren't available then. I went with the then American made Pachmayr two-piece rubber grips. Last I heard Pachmayrs are one piece and made in Mexico.
