Service Revolver Holsters

Hey guys! I have a Ruger GP100 with a 4" barrel, and I'd like to get a 1980s-1990s police style duty revolver holster for it.

This will obviously not be used for concealed carry, just for outside while in the woods and walking my property at night etc., and of course will be used at the range with my Safariland speedloaders + dual pouch. :D

Does anyone know of a good outfit where I can find this at? I have no real preferences, but would prefer a thumb break holster as that's what I'm used to, and also something in black to match my Beltman leather belt and Safariland dual speedloader pouch would be nice. Price is not an issue, but I'd like to stay under $150 if at all possible.

So far I've found this:

It's a Black Hills duty holster for revolvers. It looks good to me, but I'm not sure about this brands reputation. Other than that, I haven't found to much and just need some help finding some leather for my GP100!

Thanks so much fellas,

Cooldill

Do a search for GP100 holsters on eBay...you'll get a lot to look through including used police holsters...some great deals there.

The holster you are looking at from Black Hills Leather looks very good. I would also check ebay. Yes there are a lot of used holsters there but every now and then you can find unused holsters for almost nothing. A few years ago I was able to get a Safariland swivel holster for a S&W K-frame (models 10, 13, 15, 19, 64, 65, 66, 67) for $10 plus shipping. The holster had never been used and was still in its original plastic bag. You may also try El Paso Sadderly, Don Hume, Gould & Goodrich (formerly S&W leather), Kirkpatrick Leather Company, Tex Shoemaker & Sons, and Stallion Leather to name a few.

The old Tom Threepersons holster is very comfortable. El Paso does an authentic, which is quite pricey. Lobo does a few variations for a good price.
