Series 70 or 80 Colt MKIV Gold Cup?

If you could have either one, but only one, and the price was the same, which would you buy and why?

I would choose a Series 70 Colt. I have examples of both but it seems like the trigger pull is slightly better on my Series 70. I personally do not feel the need for the firing pin safety of the Series 80 but some may.

I have both. But given your question, I'd choose the series 70. Yes the series 80 has the extra edge in safety, but I think the firing pin safety falls in the catagory of an "answer to a question nobody asked".
