serial # prefix "PP"

Which repro company used the serial # prefix "PP"? Looking at a '51 navy.

It would be easier to identify by the manufacturers logo. What are all the other markings on it. Clear pics of the markings would help greatly.

Serial # only. Plain cylinder and no scroll. Can't post pics. Not mine yet.

Possibly a kit gun or defarbed. Is the frame brass or steel? .36 or .44?

.36 and steel. Guess it could have been scrubbed. Impressive engraving on bbl assembly and frame. Guess I better just get it. Don't have enough room in my brain to keep frettin over it. I'll post some pics when it gets here.

My 1960 vintage, Gregorelli and Uberti, has a smooth cylinder with no scrolls.
Yours could be the same type.

The last shows initials GM and a date of '92. Any clues?

Custom job. The Italian markings were removed for the engraving. The initials and date are the engraver and the year he did it.

That's what I figured. Anyone know the engraver? Posted pics at engraverscafe. Got a compliment, but no leads. Curious about the engraver now. Really nice work. Compared to an Uberti and Pietta and don't believe it is one of those.
