Serial Number Range for S&W 638?

If any of you revolver afficianadoes might happen to know the serial number range for a 638 I would sure appreciate that information.

I am looking for a 1990 model and have found one with a serial number of cct2xxx.

Any idea if this fits into the 1990 model year numbers??

Greetings Coltdriver-

Looks like the Smith & Wesson CCT serial designation
was used much later than 1990; possibly as late as
1998, falling in with prefix'es CCN, CCR, and CCW.
The Standard Catalog Of Smith & Wesson, 2nd edition
does not specify the extact usage of the prefix CCT.
1990 would have been BFL and BFN serial prefix'es;
I believe, as outlined in the book. Hope this helps?

My sincere thanks for your speedy and knowledgable reply.

I don't know if a S&W 638 made in 1990 is any better than the latest off of the line today but I thought I should at least know where to make the distinction.
