send gun off to get dipped

I'm going to send my 870 off to get that film transfer process done. It has a wooden stock on it now. I was thinking about buying a shurshot, but after holding one I found I like nothing about that style. Has anyone had this process done? Would the film hold better on a synthetic stock?

Should I just save my money ($195 + if I buy a new stock) and buy some spray paint?

Check out Cabelas.com for camo 870 stock sets. They have all kinds of patterns for under $100. I am under the impression that a camoed gun attracts more hunters than deterring game. That way you can keep your original set as well. Mark

WOW !!
That sounds awfully high for a stock set. I installed on earlier this year and it cost me $60.00. I also found another set in black, for $50.00. Personally, I would not send it out unless you are going to do the entire shotgun. ... ;)

they said it sticks to both fine, I was just thinking wood is softer than synthetic and would be easier to scratch
