Senator Larry Craig--making a difference

Each day a liberal gets up on the floor of the Senate and reads off a list of people killed by guns the day before. These names are supposed to shock us into demanding more gun control. (Of course, they don't give any details--one guy may have been killed in a battle over drugs, another guy may have been shot while trying to rob a grocer, another in a gang war, etc.)

Senator Larry Craig, R-Idaho, decided to turn the tables and read stories of individuals saved by guns. His aide contacted me and I sent him my entire database of nearly 6,000 cases. In addition, the aide had scoured the internet and found hundreds more cases that I didn't have.

To make a long story short, Senator Craig reads these stories on the floor of the Senate as a counter-attack on the anti-gunners. Because of his work, Dr. Lott's work, Dr. Kleck's work, and countless others who are working for the cause, I think the issue of self-defense may begin to get the recognition it should. It is, in my opinion, the key issue in the debate over guns.

When my next book is published (hopefully in the Fall of next year), it will have even more cases than my last book. With all of us working together, we hope to bludgeon the mainstream media into reporting self-defense stories.

I want to thank those on this forum who post self-defense stories. I always add them to my database, and they are used in many ways.

You might wish to write to Senator Craig and thank him for the good work he's doing to bring this issue to the forefront.

Dave,
"Mr. Craig is MY Senator. I am so proud."

Please TELL him so. And tell other to tell him so.

Senator Craig will catch grief from his fellow Republicans (let alone the Socialist Democrats). Let's give the Good Senator bushel after bushel of letter expressing our support.

Please put his e-mail and snail mail addresses and his phone number in this thread.

Put the info on other firearms boards, too!

If we ALL contact him all THREE ways, he'd feel the power of RKBA! ;)

Maybe the Republicans can be convinced to abandon their "I'm like a Democrat too!" policies.

Senators Craig and Crapo, and Representatives Chenoweth-Hage and Simpson, are truly fine legislators.
If we had more like them in the federal government, we wouldn't be in the pickle we are, freedom-wise.

I am a proud citizen of the state of Idaho as well.

I regularly send all our elected officials mail, and they are prompt in sending mail back to me!

Aaron

That's why I love my state! We may have no say in national politics, but we have Craig!!!

Larry Craig's e-mail address is:

I just sent him a note. I got his address from www.nra.org, which has complete listings of all Federal and State elected officals.

Let's ALL thank Larry!

Here's ALL of Larry Craig's contact info:
