Semi-automatics:single or double action?

To gain some knowledge, I'm wondering why I shoot lousy with a Beretta 92F 9mm and very good with a Browning Hi-power 9mm.

I'd like to hear your opinions.

When the weapon fits your hands correctly, it is much easier to focus on the front sight and press the trigger.

single action pistols mask a lot of shooting problems including jerking the trigger.
thats why most (many)? shooters first shot with a double action is off target.
