selling my handgun from CA to TX.

I have a handgun that was purchased in California, and I'm
planning to sell it to a friend who lives in Texas. I plan
on delievering it personally.

Can I just sell it, or does it have to go through a FFL?

Hi Jimmy,

State-to-state transfers of handguns MUST go through an FFL. I don't know enough about the laws to know if you can personally deliver it to an FFL in Texas and have them run the NICS check on your friend. You might call your local ATF office. They'll be happy to advise you.
