I have a very nice shooting Savage mod 12 223. With a BSA Platinum 8x32x44 scope.

If I was running out of funds and needed to make a quick sale, what could this piece with about 900 rounds of ammo along with 2 boxes of tracer rounds likely bring in?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Secondly I have a slightly customized 1942 U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 30-06 That shoots great and was made in 1927 with Redfield adjustable rear peep sights.
Same question for it.

Here's a pic of each.

Thanks Tex. Sounds kind of Low for a seldom shot .223 that's one hell of a squirrel killer at 300 yards... But Since I didn't know I had to ask.

Thank you.

Tex isn't that far off on his price for a quick sell you would be hard pressed to get more than $400. Used SS model 12's on gunbroker in .223 are going for around $425-450. The BSA scope isn't even really worth anything, as far as increasing the value of the rifle. It is nice to have a scope on the rifle when you buy it but most people don't like BSA (Broke Since Assembly) scopes.

900 rounds of ammunition could be a good thing depending on the type. If it is reloaded ammunition it can't be legally sold if it is factory or factory remanufactured ammunition then you can get pretty close to current new price but shipping will kill you unless you can get the buyer to pay it. The tracers aren't going to be of much interest to most people.

The 1903 is a $250-350 rifle if you are willing to set on it. If you really are in a hurry for a quick sell then $250 would be about the max.

"Quick Sells" are just that you have to price it so it sells quickly. If you want maximum price then you have to be willing sit on it until it sells.

Thank you too. Looking at doing some horse trading and needed to think about quick cash to go along with the trades.

Yeah, I'd say $400 is about tops for that Savage if you want a fast sell. I honestly think selling it fast, you may get closer to $300. The only reason you might could get more is if that 900 rounds is quality factory ammo. If you can hold out and wait a while you may be able to get a little more for the rifle. I have no idea on the other one.

Nope I haven't sold them. And YOU can reach ME through the e-mail link on this site.

Until then I'll not send my e-mail to anyone unless they represent a real person...

Thanks for understanding.
