I have a Colt Gold Cup Series 70 National Match. Shoots tight groups. Should I sell it to buy a Kimber? Which is better?
Thanks,
Mike

Sure, let me buy any Kimber of your choice and then we can trade.

Mike--if you sold your GC to buy a Kimber, there'd sure be one happy camper out there: the guy who got your Colt! :)

I have to admit to being a happy Kimber owner. Still, I'm like sjc1 - Why would you want to do that?

I also have a Series 70 National Match and it never crossed my mind to sell that and get a Kimber. If it would have been a choice of selling that and never getting a Kimber, I wouldn't have bothered with Kimbers - and they're good guns.

There is surely no bigger fan of Kimbers on this board than I, but in this case I would say not just no but HELL NO!
Current manufacture Colts are nowhere near the quality of Series 70s guns and Colt hasn't made a Gold Cup that was worth the money since the Series 70s guns. Keep it, save your money and buy a Kimber later.

Kimber makes a fine weapon,no doubt about that but everybody has one. The Series 70 Gold Cup,on the other hand, can only increase in uniqueness and value as they become more difficult to find. Mine is box stock and about 98% with all the original parts. Wondering if I should stop shooting it as much as I do and just keep it in the safe.
