Sell Colorado gun to Wyoming friend??

Can I sell my extra handgun to my friend from Wyoming while she
is in Colorado visiting? Do we need to do more than a bill of sale
that we each sign both copies of? Do I need to "unregister" this
gun which I bought through a dealer? Does she need to register
it in Wyoming when she goes home?

To sell it legally you'd have to go through a FFL in Wyoming. You'd have to ship it or deliver it personally to the FFL.

I don't recall Colorado or Wyoming having any registration laws.

Private sale. Happens all the time. You can't "unregister" the firearm, the 4473 is on file if you bought it through an FFL. If she uses the gun in a crime, you are the last known owner. (Although elementary investigation would probably clear you of direct involvement, but maybe not civil suits?) Wyoming doesn't care how she bought the gun. She can take a CCW class without being hassled where or how she got a gun. I lived in Jackson WY for eight years. Everyone in Wyoming has a gun. Wyoming is cool.

A bill of sale never hurts.
