Self Defense & the Right To Carry

I believe the right to carry goes with being a U.S. citizen. The more good guys that have guns, the safer it will be on the streets. Otherwise, we
become mere sheep and will be molded by whoever is in power at the moment. Can you say, "Police State or Gang Land"!!!

I believe that any average citizen who passes a simple competency test, background check, and is a law-abiding citizen must be allowed to be
licensed to carry for self-defense. Guns should not be sold like bubblegum. This is a key concept in our modern society --- both sides need to
agree on this point. With a concealed carry law in place, a criminal does not really know whether a citizen is carrying or not, and therefore would
not be so willing to accost people --- this has been proven by the Lott Study.

There can never be a day when we are NOT ALLOWED to carry for self-defense. The extreme anti-gunners believe nobody should carry guns
except police and military agencies. We cannot allow these extremists to create a DOMINO EFFECT of passing laws until it's illegal for the
silent majority to protect themselves. This effect could potentially cause an underground movement that would make the multi-billion dollar
illegal drug market look like child's play.

In other words, I'm for the middle ground of common sense. But don't tread on me.

Note Regarding U.S Police Agencies: I believe that overall, we have good people throughout the U.S. But nobody is perfect. And every once in
awhile, a cop or agent goes bad. But that does not mean that we should take guns away from all police and military agencies!!! We instead must go
through the quality process of continual improvement. Let's be reasonable, folks.

Even Mahatma Gandhi said that if you are not strong enough to offer yourself in passive nonviolent resistance, then fight. Gandhi had three
categories of fighting, from highest to lowest. Be very aware that every human being on the planet fits into one of these categories:

1. Nonviolent Resistance -- without hate and offering your own body as a shield to protect others if necessary.
2. Fighting to defend yourself and your loved ones.
3. Cowardice --- the lowest and most repugnant level of all. At this level "it" hides behind others. "It" runs away. "It" makes fanatic laws to hide
behind. "It" is a stinking hypocrite and a liar at heart. "It" is the lowest life form. "It" is sub-human.

So, spread the word by speaking up and sending this email to all the politicians, the FBI, etc. Let them know that we are strong and want to work
together in a reasonable way. But we will not bow down to bullying or the legal fanaticism of the anti-gun extremist movement.

Can a police officer be a full time bodyguard to my family, and respond in time to life-threatening situations? No. This is not the job of police
officers, although they do a wonderful job of keeping the peace in our society as a whole. I do not want to become a statistic in a body bag because
society refuses to empower me to react to life threatening situations in time.

I personally do not want to play the statistics game and impotently hope that it won't happen to me. However, several naïve anti-gun people and
organizations are perfectly happy in their efforts to try and force me to play the statistics game and become a meek sheep that can be preyed upon
by literally anyone!!!
