Self Defense is Bad for this Group.

I found this:

http://www.shootfirstlaw.org/

Read about their campaign and join them to get a free t-shirt!

They believe citizens in FL have a better chance to have bodily harm inflicted on them by honest citizens with CCW permits than thugs that use force to rob, beat, rape, maim, or kill you.

I guess self-preservation of your life is not a standard rule in a "civilized" society.

Stuff like this bothers me.

It's nice that Brady is spending the bucks to advertise the new law. Should help it be more effective as a deterent.:)

As a FL resident, I agree with Handy completely.

Let's say you're a violent criminal type or professional second story man. VA or DC have become a bit too "warm" for you; time to move. After reading that site, is FL gonna be your first choice for new job opportunities?

I beleive someone has a sig. that reads "Ignorance can be fixed, Stupidity is forever." :)
It's a shame that some think their live's aren't worth protecting.:(
Add some more sheeple to the flock.....:barf: :barf: :barf:

Georgia passed the same law this year. Heard the same tired old song. These people are so far out of touch with reality that they have to have sunlight piped into their tin-foil hats.

The general opinion of the residents was "you don't HAVE to do this, you have a RIGHT to be a stupid victim.":barf:

I should buy one and put a 1 inch group on it and send it back to them with a note saying "with groups like this I'd never hit an innocent bystander!" I hate these people I really do:mad: why don't they just go ahead and start using the money people send them to buy ammo for the criminals because that's the only people they are helping!

Gee you'd think they'd have some of those horrific statistics of innocent people being shot left and right just because of a minor change in the law.

You don't suppose that... no no it couldn't be... but... maybe just maybe people don't just go around shooting each other at the drop of a hat because they can?

naww, couldn't be.

So am I to understand that a person wearing this shirt who has broken into my house at 02:00 in the morning and is holding a weapon in his hand and is threatening to do deadly harm to me and my family is supposed to be an "Innocent Bystander". I'm sorry, but this person has just bought himself a ticket to the closest E.R. or my place of employment. the only thing this t-shirt does is give me a good bright outline of a target if they should break into my house. This is like drug pushers and dealers wearing the D.A.R.E. t-shirts. Give me a break Bradyits!!!!:barf:

I wonder where you can get a parody shirt which says "Innocent Bystander" on the front and "Criminals Like Unarmed Victims" in a target motif on the back?

Add some more sheeple to the flock.....
It has been my experience that the more ignorant The Sheeple, the louder they bleat. That's what we are seeing in this instance.

If they want to submit to being brutalized by predatory criminal thuge, that's their business; as for me, no thanks. Lock and load!:D

They don't seem to have a Contact Us option.

To paraphrase, they make the claim that a shooter is civilly and criminally immune if he reasonably believes he's in fear of death or serious bodily injury, even if he started a fistfight that escalated to the use of lethal force.

They say this in the same paragraph where they mention that such immunity is granted only if you're not doing anything illegal.

Last time I checked, starting a fistfight is at the very least assault and, if you threw the first punch, battery, which are illegal activities. In Florida, that tosses your immunity immediately.

I've read over the law quite a few times. It was obviously written to allow you to stop any assault perpetrated against you by whatever force is necessary, and to strongly discourage you from assaulting someone else (which includes credibly threatening them).

Too bad I can't contact them and point this out.
