Seeing an odd thing...

I was looking at a photo of a Dan Wesson revolver and in the area where the cylinder ejector mates to the back of the frame, the ratchet has made a nice star in that area.

Is that normal or a sign of a problem? I am a single action guy mostly!

If I understand you correctly, I have a Colt DA revolver with a star shape in the same area. It is normal on the Colt DAs. I haven't owned a DW revolver, but might be normal on them too.

Any revolver with any cartridges that generate a modicum of recoil is going to develop that imprint. Nothing to worry about unless it makes a deep imprint.
