Seecamp???????????

I noticed that the Seecamp's have come down a bit in price as a result of all the competition. I was wondering if anyone has purchased one recently and if it function perfectly out of the box or if it had to be returned? I had a Guardian and sold it because I just wasn't crazy about it and I'm not really interested in the KelTec.

A store near me got in touch with LW Seecamp himself and told him that if he wanted to stay competitive, that he better start cranking out his .32's. They are now getting a fairly regular supply and they run about $600. Somebody had bought one there and traded it in a week later, and I got it for $500 in mint condition. It works absolutely perfectly and is a very high quality little gun. And don't believe the Silvertip myth... The manual has a little red stamp on it stating "Use only Winchester Silvertip ammo!", but he has now approved other ammo to be used in the Seecamp. I've used Silvertip, GoldDot and Winchester ball all with no hangups. But don't think you are going to hit anything with this gun unless it's under 10 feet away. It requires alot of practice to fire this thing accurately at longer distances. There are no sights at all and therefore point-shoot only. I can't stress enough how nice this pistol is and how well it serves it's intended purpose. I too had a Guardian before the Seecamp and the only advantage was the ease of takedown. It's really a second rate knock-off. I have heard about an even number of good stories to horror stories about the KelTec, and until the good stories outnumber the horror stories by a good margin, I would not consider one either...

to quote a much used term that fits the seacamp perfactly,"it is made with the precision of a fine swiss watch" it truely is. I will also say that I love my kel-tec p-32 and accualy carry it more than my treasured seacamp.

I've not shot a Kel-Tec P32, but have heard a lot of good about them.

I did own a Beretta Tomcat (two actually; the first was replaced by Beretta under warranty). Liked the gun but didn't consider it reliable.

I have a CZ-50 that I love, but much less
concealable than the Kel-Tec, Seecamp, etc.

The two Seecamps I shot were brutal little beasts. Very uncomfortable. I want to be able to shoot a lot to become proficient, and I know I'd never shoot one of the Seecamps enough to be sure of shot placement.

(Personally, I now think the .32 is too small around, and carry a small 9mm instead. But many feel otherwise.)

Walt,I have also heard outhers say the seacamp can be a little beast to shoot, I find mine to be very pleasant to shoot with win. sthp's,my hands are on the med.- small size, that maybe why. for a tiny gun it fits my hand fairly well, shooting the p-32 and seacamp in the same session with sthp's recoil is exactly the same on the mild side. the sthp's are the mildest feeling out of 32hps and fmj's in my p-32. i also agree on the 32rd size,i posted in anouther post that i have always carried small/pocket guns with out a second thought, while leaving my 9mm's,38's,40 & 45's in the safe, but for the past few months i have been carring a compact 45,and recently when i dropped my p-32 in my pocket to do some errands i did not have a good fealing about just having the 32 and got my 45 out of the safe.
