Security Six prices?

I went to a local gun store today and say a nice Ruger Security Six blue 4in. It seemed to be in good condition and I have been looking for blue 4in .357. I plan to look at it more come Monday, after I re-read the revolver checkout sticky.

My question is, how much is to much for one in good shape? The price is $425, but I expect I could talk him down some. Is this too high? Please, any help will be greatly appreciated.

They usually go from anywhere between $200 and $400 depending on condition and location. If the gun is in good condition, I would ask $350 and not pay over $400. I purchased 2 this last year and paid $329 and $350, both stainless 4". I've noticed they have been going up in price over this last year. Good luck, they are great guns even at $400.

$425 seems to be the going price for a stainless in good shape nowadays.

For a blued in good shape,$425 is high. $350 sounds like a price he may take, and one that won't be overpriced.

The Six series guns are only going up in value, they use to be an underated 357, but word has gotten out.
