I am currently looking for info. on an 'Ishapore Mk.7 Jungle Carbine' in .308 Caliber. My understanding is that this weapon was made post WWII ( 1950's ) in India for use by Commonwealth troops there. IIRC the .308 was analgous to the NATO round of the time. Are any of these available on the open market? I don't mind a beater if the price is right, it shoots accurately and is mechanically sound. What is an acceptable price. I saw a Mk.5 (WWII) Jungle Carbine in the shop recently for 399.00...seemed a bit high. Any info. is greatly appreciated. Jimbo
